We currently have a new opportunity available for a Desktop Support Technician II to join our client for an on-site position located in Bay Point, CA. 1 year contract (extensions possible) Day Shift: Monday-Friday 8am - 5 pmResponsibilities:
- Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals
- Documents, maintains, upgrades or replaces hardware and software systems
- Supports and maintains user account information including rights, security and systems groups
- Trains employees, identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures, orders and replaces parts as needed
- Determines and recommends which products or services best fit the customers' needs
- Works under general supervision
- 3-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area required
- Knowledge of a variety of tech support concepts, practices, and procedures
- Experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- A certain degree of creativity and latitude required
- May require an associate degree or equivalent
- Must be able to perform hands and feet support for occasional networking and server tasks
- Must have break-fix experience
- Good communication skills
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently
- Able to adapt to changes in the environment quickly while learning new processes
- A+ Certifications a Plus!
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs, stoop, kneel, walk, and stand
- Service Now experience a plus
- Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment
