Job Description: Position Overview
The Software Engineer will work as a member of the Software Development team. The individual will be responsible for developing software and building tools to automate and facilitate business processes throughout the firm. They will also play a significant role in providing production support of related systems and operations in a timely and professional manner. This dynamic role requires strong technical and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities
Developing user interfaces to facilitate the automation of business processes throughout the firm including portfolio management, compliance, operations, investor relations and accounting.
Developing system interfaces to integrate with internal and external systems
Building and enhancing the existing reporting infrastructure (SSRS)
Production support for applications used in the aforementioned departments
Identifying ways to automate business processes, improve system performance and drive quality
Work with business users to define business requirements
Qualifications
Specific Knowledge and Experience Required:
B.S. and/or advanced degree in Computer Science or related field
Experience (5yrs +) developing software in ASP.NET Core MVC framework
Experience (5yrs +) and knowledge using SQL Server, C#, Javascript
Proficiency in MS Office products, specifically Excel and Outlook
Excellent communication skills
Highly self-motivated and results oriented
Specific Knowledge and Experience Preferred:
Experience and knowledge in fixed income products and investment management
Experience supporting a trading and/or fund accounting system (Charles River, EZE, Geneva)
Experience using Telerik & Kendo UI
Experience implementing APIs: REST, JSON, SOAP
Experience (3yrs +) and knowledge with ETL tools such as SSIS or DTS
