Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

3 years of work experience in a technical role (e.g., software engineering, solutions consultant, etc.) or equivalent technical experience.

Experience presenting to audiences on technical topics and public speaking.

Experience with Javascript, Python, and SQL.

Preferred qualifications:

3 years of experience as a technical practitioner in a developer community.

Experience with API Design.

Experience with any of the following: Looker, LookML, Looker Studio, BigQuery, Cloud APIs, Business Intelligence Tools, API Design, Business Data Visualization.

Experience with being an Open Source contributor.

As the Developer Relations Engineer you will join the Looker Developer Relations team. In this role, you will help to build and maintain a community of technical practitioners for Google Cloud Business Intelligence (BI) suite including Looker and Looker Studio. You will become the go-to expert for the products, develop compelling content, connect with our developer ecosystem, amplify developer and customer success stories, and shape how technical practitioners will make use of generative AI in our products.Looker is a unified platform that powers data experiences and delivers actionable business insights to employees at the point of decision. Looker integrates data into the daily workflows of users to allow organizations to extract value from data at web-scale.The US base salary range for this full-time position is $122,000-$178,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Work with Product Management (PM), Outbound Product Management (OPM), and Customer Engineering (CE) teams to identify exciting developer use cases.

Attend or facilitate conferences and events to gain and share insights on user experience and technologies.

Work with the Tech Writing team to develop and publish end-to-end solution guides feature Looker products and other GCP solutions.

Contribute input and feedback on products or programs, and represent the interests of partners to internal stakeholders.

Build scalable public content (videos, articles, demos, codelabs, etc.) for external developers and users.
