DevOps Engineer - NO C2C or 3rd Parties

Location: 100% remote

Contract length: Will begin as short term role and extended from there for productive consultants.

Skills:
  • Experience in Azure DevOps administration, build and release
  • Experience in other CI/CD tools and source control repositories a plus - Bamboo, Jenkins, Git
  • Experience in MSBuild
  • Experience in other Build tools a plus - Maven, NAnt
  • Experience in PowerShell and CMD
  • Experience in other scripting languages a plus - Groovy, JavaScript, Python
  • Experience in Configuration Management tools a plus - Chef, System Center, Puppet, Ansible, Salt
  • Experience in Microsoft SQL Server administration a plus
The DevOps Engineer must have rich and diverse technical background, is creative (intellectually curious), passionate about automation / DevOps and eager to learn emerging technologies and trends. The DevOps Engineer is familiar with Agile principles, Azure DevOps, PowerShell, MSBuild, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools and has in-depth system administration experiences. The DevOps Engineer is responsible for documenting the standards, processes and procedures and improving process efficiency. The typical day includes working with Development, QA, InfoSec, Operations and Business teams to design, implement and support enterprise CI/CD pipelines, and shepherd releases through the Change Control process.

Responsibilities:
  • Implement, maintain and support Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Evaluate build and deployment DevOps processes for optimization, streamlining and automation opportunities.
  • Develop and test new DevOps pipeline functionalities, with general supervision on methodology and approach.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation.
  • Create custom reports on automation usage and savings.
  • Demonstrate ability to prioritize competing demands and manage multiple concurrent tasks is required.
  • Define and establish process monitoring and performing routine system health checks to ensure optimization and stability of application and code.
  • Create, enhance, and maintain manual and automated support processes and technical documentation.
  • Participate in Disaster Recovery exercises pertaining to processes.
  • Work with management to define and create methods for collecting and reporting on metrics related to SLAs.

Education: BS in Computer Science or in a related technical field or equivalent experience Minimum 3 years working in a DevOps related role Minimum 2 years of programming or scripting

Compensation: The estimated pay range for this position is USD $95.57/hr - USD $102/hr and is an Exempt role. Exact compensation and offers of employment are dependent on circumstances of each case and will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, licenses or certifications, and location.
