Along with our local affiliated Dignity Health hospital (St. Joseph’s Medical Center), we offer an integrated care delivery system that provides primary care for family medicine and internal medicine, gastroenterology, neurology, colon and rectal surgery, urology, general surgery, psychiatry, and radiation oncology.ResponsibilitiesPosition Summary:Combine knowledge of nutrition, diet therapy, psychology, health and wellness management, and marketing to plan, implement, and evaluate services for nutrition education and counseling for ambulatory patients and consumers. Teaches all portions of health education classes. Participates in planning and implementation of Education Services programs as related to areas of expertise and as a member of Education Services division of Dignity Health Medical Group - Stockton.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in dietetics or nutrition from an accredited college or university.

Registered Dietitian (RD) status withing one (1) year of employment.

Ability to perform skin fold measurement and blood glucose monitoring required

Knowledge of age and gender specific characteristics

Must be able to apply adult learning principles

Effective listening and verbal skills

Must be able to communicate effectively with individuals as well as groups

Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience with medical information systems and work processing desirable
