The Challenge AheadThe Production Infrastructure & Engineering (PI&E) group is part of the CTO organization and is the foundation on which our games are built and operate. PI&E builds and operates a broad platform of infrastructure services that powers games and enables game development across the company s global ecosystem Our team s charter is to make our games and services available to all players anytime and anywhere. To do this, we focus on the high availability of infrastructure, core services, and studio services. Additionally, we aim to enable developers to experiment and build new games quickly with infrastructure services on-demand and workflows that enable rapid development in the cloud. In all of this, we partner across the company to drive infrastructure cost efficiency and infrastructure optimization.

The RoleAs a Digital Transformation Architect, you will analyze and decompose for various titles, business and technical requirements to translate into an optimized architecture for supporting the live services. This role requires that individuals have deep technical abilities paired with industry experience, strategic acumen, strong communication skills, and comfort levels working with developer and infrastructure operations teams.The right candidate should be able to understand and execute our digital transformation strategies by creating best in class digital infrastructure solutions.Within the PI&E, you will: Transform legacy live services architectures by employing modern technologies with a focus on spend optimization, sustainability, stress endurance, scalability, security, performance and reliability. Lead the discovery of live services requirements and goals. Communicate the best available infrastructure and platform technology options to stakeholders. Incorporate stakeholder feedback in architecting optimized digital infrastructure solutions. Model the proposed solution s interconnected components mapped to the live services elements to document and exhibit functionality that delivers superior end user experiences at a global scale. Develop roadmaps and plans for solution implementation that can be precisely executed with the support of project management, developers, operations teams and you.

QualificationsBackground and technical skills: 7+ years of experience designing, developing, and implementing systems for distributed applications from business concept through to production. 7+ years of experience in a technology organization with significant responsibility for setting technical direction (video game industry preferred). B.S. or M.S. in Technical Discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or equivalent experience In-depth knowledge of Data Center and Cloud Computing technologies for hosting real-time interactive online services. Experience designing and implementing large-scale architectures for the delivery of online services. Experience in application rehosting, replatforming, and refactoring. Working knowledge of the OSI model layers. Strong presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross functional audiences. Experience leading white boarding sessions and presenting to architects, operations staff, and developers. Broad based technology experience including: cloud computing, applications development, DevOps, relational databases, NoSQL databases, analytics, networking, security, storage, compute, automation, continuous deployment, containers, and management and monitoring. AWS and/or public cloud architect level certifications a plus. Advanced networking certifications a plus. VMware certifications a plus. CNCF Kubernetes certifications a plus.
