Direct Support Professional

Seeking Direct Support Professional to work with very high functioning developmentally disabled female Client that resides at an assisted living facility in Santa Monica CA. Three shifts are available, Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday 5pm to 9pm, Saturday and Sundays 9am to 5pm and 5pm to 9pm.

Staff is responsible for assisting client with activities participation at the assisted living facility client resides at located in Santa Monica. Out in the community staff will transport, attend and assist with medical appointment and errands. Additionally, go for walks, exercise if needed, go out into the local community. Applicant must be patient, compassionate and love helping others. Experience preferred but would train the right person. Applicant must own a computer, printer/scanner and be proficient using them efficiently as all paperwork in done electronically. You must own a car and have a valid CDL and auto insurance.

This job DOES NOT involve any caregiver duties such as feeding, bathing, dressing, etc.,

25 years of age or older

College preferred.

Must live within a 15 mile radius from Santa Monica, CA

Must speak, read, and write English fluently

Must have strong writing and organizational and time management skills

Must own a computer, own a printer, scanner, have internet access and know how to scan and email documents. Must be competent in filling out, printing, scanning and emailing paperwork twice per month.

Must be professional and responsible, no flakes!

Must be available to accommodate client schedule

Must own your own vehicle, be named on vehicle registration, must have current auto insurance and willing to drive with mileage reimbursement.

Must have valid California drivers license

Must be have valid work permit and legal US residency

Pass criminal background check.

CPR/First Aid Certified or obtain certification within 30 days of hire.
