Director, Financial Continuous Improvement

Job Description

Mattel is looking for a Director of Financial Continuous Process Improvement at our headquarters in El Segundo, CA. Our Finance team supports the forecasting and analysis of the global Plan, Forecasts, and Actual results. We work across the organization and communicate performance both across business partners and to the leadership team.

• Supports entire Finance and Accounting organization to drive continuous process improvement across organization
• Assess Financial Systems, Processes and Technology to identify opportunities for improvement
• Maintain and update accounting and finance policies
  • Assessing any risk areas, identify recommendations for updates to policies in consistent with U.S. GAAP
  • Develop and support delivery of comprehensive training program
  • Establish governance process to maintain and update policies on a go-forward basis

Qualifications

• BS/BA required (Finance, Accounting, Economics preferred)
• CPA or MBA preferred
• 10+ years’ experience in financial/P&L analysis
• Experience working in a complex operating environment
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with all levels of management, internal and external
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload
• High degree of initiative, drive, confidence, and resilience
• Executive presence & leadership skills
• Flexible and teamwork oriented
