In this position you will be responsible for identifying, shaping, and capturing "disruptive" new business opportunities between the US Government and Siemens EDA’s leading edge Electronic Design Automation solutions for developing critical defense microelectronic systems.The EDA Business Development and Capture Director works in a business development role, coordinating between the various US Government entities and their eco-system; including OSD A&S, OSD R&E, Air Force, Navy, ARMY, DARPA, NSA, prime contractors, and academia, to bring new EDA solutions to US Government market. An in-depth knowledge and understanding of key players, government program operation and funding is paramount. In this position you will work closely with Siemens Sales Executives and Sr. Manager(s) to develop multi-level business plans for the growth and development of our US Government business. The candidate must possess strong sales, communication, and program management skills. Travel will be required.Additional responsibilities include:· Lead and facilitate development of winning strategies, which align Siemens’ solutions with the policy and business requirements of the US Government· Collaborate with Siemens Industry Software (SISW) executive leadership to adapt and refine solution definitions while ensuring Customer value.· Leverage established US Government and industry contacts & relationships to adjust and refine solutions.· Lead and facilitate win strategy development sessions including appropriate stakeholders to determine, teaming, staffing, pricing, etc.· Collaborate with Divisional Leadership and Technical SMEs to develop solutions that offer customers recognized value, are price competitive, is executable and will be evaluated favorablyThe EDA Business Development and Capture Director will need to identify, develop, and leverage strong customer and industry relationships with key decision makers and understand the business challenges and technical needs and issues across a broad range of platforms, technologies, and government requirements.Preferred location: Washington, DC Metro Area; Other locations: TBD.Qualifications

15+ years of Federal, DoD business development, capture, and/or operational experience with a proven track record of success in developing a robust pipeline and generating new business opportunities.

Established contacts with major customers in the Intelligence and DoD Community, e.g., OSD A&S, OSD R&E, Air Force, Navy, NRO, NRL, DARPA, and Army.

Demonstrated experience engaging with senior executives at government agencies, major prime contractors, and commercial companies.

Knowledge of the Pentagon and DoD budgeting process

Must have a strong understanding of federal acquisition regulations, policies, and contract vehicles.

Experience working with DoD prime system contractors/integrators.

MSEE/BSEE with 5+ years electronic design desired

Understanding of Electronic Systems design and verification flows through semiconductor design and fabrication a plus.

Strong business acumen and strategic analysis experience

Strong leadership, negotiation, and influencing skills.

Track record of deliver on complex problems without guidance.

US citizen with existing Secret security clearance.

Transform the EverydayThe total cash compensation range for this position is $185,700 to $371,400 with 30% of this being comprised of an annual incentive target. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
