Who You AreThe Marketing Strategy team is looking for an experienced GTM strategic leader to lead the performance pillar of the Strategy team. A critical element of the next phase in our journey in Cisco Marketing is the ability to turn powerful insights and analytics into action and execution. This role will lead a new function in Cisco Marketing, responsible for telling the story of our Marketing performance, connecting data to business actions, and providing executive leadership with key insights into how we’re performing as an org, and how we will continue to optimize ROI for every dollar invested in marketing to drive growth. This will require connecting our GTM strategy with the solutions our customers need, paired with operational excellence, all rooted in data. A day in this role is likely to vary each day from advising on cross-org programs with multiple stakeholders, to running a strategic business review with key executives, brainstorming with functional exec leaders on a new initiative, or helping define our prioritization framework for investment. Your experience building and leading key programs at the executive level will be crucial to your success in leading Cisco Marketing to be more data and performance driven in our pursuit of supporting our sales org, driving business cases, aligning our efforts across the portfolio, and prioritizing our investments. Your experience in customer-facing roles, with a track record of bringing that voice of the customer to the way we go to market and engage customers will be a critical component to leading this function. What You’ll Do Own the story of the evolution of Marketing Performance at Cisco. Whether we like or hate our results, you will own the narrative at the executive level for what we do about it. Prep the CMO and their senior leaders with talking points on performance across vehicles, campaigns, regions, etc. to ensure full confidence in data integrity for an ELT audience. Find a way to represent the impact of each Marketing function in the way we engage customers so that each investment we make is rooted in a data-driven outcome from C-level exec engagements and sponsorship, to media placement or website optimization. Work closely with leaders and stakeholders across Cisco Marketing, CSM, BE Marketing teams, ONEx, the Cisco Transformation Office, Sales & Partner teams to support and implement high-quality, data-driven decisions in our GTM efforts that align to Cisco’s business priorities. Track Performance & Optimize: Help us understand the impact of our insights on the business to guide strategic decisions and uncover optimization opportunities across Cisco Marketing that could improve the state of our Insights & Analytics efforts and unlock potential of additional areas of impact for Cisco Marketing and beyond. Strengthen Marketers’ abilities across the org via coaching and training to interpret and report results of analytical initiatives to stakeholders, and better plan and forecast their businesses using data Be a change champion for Cisco Marketing and the expansion of our data-driven culture. Communicate business impact of strategic decisions and investmentsMinimum Requirements Minimum 12 years of experience in GTM operations, strategy and execution. Proven record of managing multiple stakeholders at the executive level, and considering all angles of perception in delivering and presenting complex concepts.
