You will provide the technical leadership to ensure that our cybersecurity ASICs push the boundaries for features, performance, and reliability. You will create architecture and microarchitecture specifications and validate them with modeling and simulation. You will also implement designs and verify them on diverse platforms including simulation, emulation, and silicon validation.Your Impact

Influence novel product initiatives with key insights about emerging and state-of-the-art ASIC and hardware system technologies

Define the ASIC architecture and microarchitecture in close collaboration with the System Architecture team.

Validate complex ASIC architectures and microarchitectures with modeling and simulation.

Implement RTL designs in SystemVerilog

Ensure that designs meet aggressive goals for functionality, performance, and reliability in close collaboration with ASIC verification and systems validation engineers

Evaluate and enhance test plans to maximize coverage

Debug complex test scenarios

Ensure that designs meet aggressive goals for area, timing, power, and testability in close collaboration with ASIC physical design engineers

Optimize architectures for power, performance, and area

Guide floorplanning choices at the block, subsystem, and chip levels

Advise the design team in closing timing and reducing power

Suggest and implement improvements to the development process

Mentor and coach team members

Your Experience

BS in EE, CE, or CS required - MSEE preferred or equivalent military experience required

Minimum 10 years experience in ASIC design

Demonstrated success in taking multiple ASIC products from concept to mass production

Deep knowledge of computer networking from layers 1 to 4

Expertise in SystemVerilog for design

Technical strength in the following areas is required

Defining optimal architecture and microarchitecture solutions

Modeling with SystemC, C, or Python

Debugging simulation, emulation, and silicon validation tests

Analyzing physical design reports and fixing timing and power violations

Experience in the following areas is preferred

Cybersecurity

Network simulation with Omnet, ns-3, or equivalent

Formal property verification

Defining powerful and scalable design for debug mechanisms

Demonstrated ownership and independence in planning, debugging complex failures, closing metrics-driven tasks, driving vendors, and reporting status

Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills

Accomplished in writing technical documents and making compelling presentations

For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $193,800/yr to $313,500/yr.
