Dog Attendant at Our Home with 8 Dogs

Position available for a “Big Dog” Attendant (think Nanny)

We have a tribe of 8 large Bernese Mountain Dogs who live at our house and have the run of house! They are good, loving dogs but need some gentle attention and boundaries.

Plus things like feeding, walking, medication, playing, dog laundry, keeping the dogs quiet sometimes, etc.

We are looking for someone to work 3-4 days a week from 7-3 at our home in Orange.

If this sounds exciting to you, here’s what you’ll be doing to help us out:

Obviously, you must love big dogs

You’ll be caring for 8 Large Breed Dogs

Feeding, walking, and training, on a daily basis

Administering medication and treatments as necessary

Dog laundry

Taking dog to the vet

Dog grooming

You are able to follow directions for feeding or treatment accurately

You are willing to keep the dogs clean and brushed

You are able to maintain the dog’s exercise schedules properly

You are willing to walk 5-6 miles per day with the various dogs on different walks.

You are willing to keep the dogs quiet when the humans are working at the house

Maintaining inventory of food and supplies

Cleaning house and yards of dog waste daily

This will be easy for you:

If you are agreeable in nature, love the dogs, eager to work with the dogs and play with the dogs, you are fun, you like to laugh and smile, appreciate the dogs’ behavior, and like to learn from them

Because you will be driving the dogs from time to time, you’ll need a valid driver's license.

And since the dogs count on you, you need a strong commitment to working every working day that you are scheduled and showing up on time reliably

Note: If you:

Are not able to follow directions for feeding or treatment accurately

Are not willing to keep the dogs clean and brushed

Are not able to maintain the dog’s exercise schedules properly

Are not willing to walk 5-6 miles per day

Are not able to keep the dogs quiet when the dogs are working
