Dog Walker/Packleader

Hiring a Packleader/Dog Walker - Please read ENTIRE post before applying

Do you LOVE dogs and enjoying the beach and the outdoors at the same time? Are you responsible, caring and outgoing? We are looking for a trustworthy, fun, active person that can handle a pack of 4-6 dogs off leash at Fiesta Island Off Leash Dog Park. This job requires an easy going attitude as dogs are full of surprises! A typical day is between 830am and 230pm, Monday to Friday. Weekend and holidays are also scheduled based on client demand. Must be open and willing to work weekends and holidays. Looking for a responsible, reliable and fun person to take some doggos to the beach.

This position is Full-Time Monday - Friday

Tasks include:

pick up and drop off of 4-6 dogs per walk

drive to the dog beach or park

lead the pack of dogs through the trails and beaches at Fiesta for one hour

rinse off dogs and towel dry

send updates to clients (feedbacks & photos) via our app

Employees are paid a piece-work rate, per dog/client, per walk/outing which works out to $20-$22 an hour based on volume. This is a great way to earn a living while spending time outdoors with dogs. An additional way to earn income on top of your wage is with our Staycation/Overnight dog sitting service which is contracted out to our staff. Max 6 clients per night. Our company is growing and our clients are always booking dog boarding and sitting services. There is constant work available! This is the ideal position for someone who works at home, goes to school part time or works at night. Our company pays bi-weekly for both employees and contractors. We 1099 all contractors. We offer First Aid training and dog behavior courses.

Job Details/Requirements:

Must be able to work any day of the week depending on schedule

Overnights/boarding dogs are done in your home (this is not required to be hired but a good way to make additional income) up

Have a smart phone to take photos and videos

Ability to stand, walk, and run for long periods of time

Be able to lift 60lbs

Control a pack of dogs in a calm manner

Have a dog friendly home

Have a clean driving record and valid drivers license

Pass a Background Check

Pet First Aid Certified - or willingness to obtain
