The Driver maintains the vehicle and develops a positive working relationship with vendors. Pay Rate:The pay rate for this job is $20 / hourWhat you'll be doing as a Driver:

Obtain list of parts for pick up

Pick up and deliver parts to local vendors and customers

Use the pallet jack or forklift to load and unload the delivery truck

Ensure that all loads are tied down securely to avoid loss or damage while following all safety rules

Sign and date all receivers from vendors

Verify the correct part and quantity of parts is accurate upon receipt

Maintain the daily log for all pickups and deliveries

Perform regular vehicle maintenance including checking the motor oil, checking fluids and washing the vehicle regularly

Assist with the Stock Room as needed. This includes assisting in the Crating Area, assisting Shipping/Receiving with loading & unloading. Also, when time permits, supporting stockroom with window requests and pulling parts. Also, deliver parts to internal departments as required (assembly, machine shop, welding etc.)

Perform other related duties as assigned

Experience in a manufacturing environment is required.

Must have experience with proper loading procedures/strapping of material to ensure product is not damaged.

Must have valid CA DL and clean driving record.

Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing

Ability to develop and maintain a positive and professional relationship with vendors and staff

Ability to operate forklift and pallet jack following all safety rules

Possess effective organization, time management and follow through skills, be detail oriented, use good judgment, manage competing priorities for multiple projects and consistently meet all deadlines

Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision, adhere to the highest ethical standards and demonstrate integrity at all times

Able to work overtime when required

Background check and drug screening required.
