Event Planner / Creative Director (Part-Time, Commission-Based)

Location: DTLA Penthouse Loft

Compensation: Commission-Based (High upside, limited upfront pay)

About the Space

We’re building a unique, boutique event experience inside a 1,700 sq.ft. penthouse loft in Downtown Los Angeles. The space features open layouts, natural light, modern finishes, and the potential to host a wide variety of small-to-mid-sized events—from private dinners and photoshoots to pop-ups, wellness sessions, creative workshops, micro-social events, networking nights, and more.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a creative, reliable, self-driven Event Planner / Creative Director to take the lead on developing and monetizing this penthouse through curated events. This role is ideal for someone with vision, strong administrative skills, and an entrepreneurial mindset.

This is a commission-based, part-time role with significant upside for the right person. You take home a percentage of gross event revenue. Perfect for someone wanting flexible income, building a portfolio, or expanding their event-planning brand.

What You’ll Do

Creative & Strategy

Conceptualize unique event ideas that fit the space (sip-and-paint, micro-weddings, VIP dinners, brand activations, workshops, etc.)

Curate themes, layouts, décor concepts, and brand identity for the event side of the loft

Help shape and evolve the penthouse’s event brand presence

Planning & Operations

Coordinate event logistics, scheduling, and vendor management

Build processes for bookings, check-ins, cleanup, and daily operations

Prepare the space before and after events; maintain a polished, photo-ready presentation

Admin & Customer Service

Handle inquiries, messages, follow-ups, and booking confirmations

Manage calendars, contracts, waivers, and vendor communications

Provide excellent customer service to clients, guests, and partners

Marketing & Branding

Assist with crafting listings, social posts, and event flyers

Manage or co-manage booking pages (e.g., Peerspace , IG pages, landing pages)

Ideally: capture or coordinate simple photo/video content of events for marketing

Who You Are

Creative thinker with a strong eye for aesthetics, layout, and vibe

Highly organized, reliable, and detail-oriented

Comfortable managing logistics, admin tasks, and people

Strong written and verbal communication

Customer-service oriented

Self-starter who can operate with minimal supervision

Entrepreneurial—interested in scaling event revenue and benefiting from it

Bonus Skills (Not Required, but Appreciated):

Experience with small event production, weddings, or content shoots

Social media management or aesthetic content creation

Access to décor, vendors, or event-industry connections

Past experience running an event space or creative studio

Compensation

This is a commission-based part-time role.

You earn a percentage of every event you plan, book, or help execute

No large base salary or full-time hours

High upside for someone who can build consistent monthly bookings
