Maxar is currently seeking a Dynamics Controls Analysis Engineer to join our Space Program Delivery team in Westminster, CO or Palo Alto, CA. In this role, you will be part of an amazing dynamics and control analysis team to put satellites in orbit around the earth and moon.Life with Us Your Projects: We are working on several exciting projects, but as one example, you may lead a team to partner with our customers like NASA to develop the Power Propulsion Element (PPE) for the Moon Gateway (Artemis) to send the first woman and the next man back to the moon. You will be responsible for new avionics software integrations, establish software platforms, conduct dynamics analyses, develop ground control software, develop spacecraft simulators, and/or drive validation & verification for all satellite software projects. What you'll do day-to-day (with your colleagues):- Work with a team of Dynamics and Control Engineers to support a variety of satellite programs within Maxar.
- Assist other peer organizations in solving for the whole: drive greater ownership & solutioning to ensure all programs are successful.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field, with a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or a Masters degree in controls engineering, software engineering, or aerospace engineering, or a directly related field (physics, mathematics, advanced modeling and data systems)
- MATLAB experience
- Understanding of classical dynamics, orbital mechanics, modeling and simulation, and software development
- SIMULNK experience
- Project or internship experience in guidance, navigation & control systems
- Demonstrated good communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical issues to peers, management, subcontractors and customers.
