Our client, Medical device manufacturing organization seeking , Electrical Engineer I to assist in development and sustaining engineering projects within the Cardiac Arrhythmia and Heart Failure, Electrophysiology division. Completes system, analog, digital, and firmware designs. This includes setting and revising requirements and specifications, debugging, testing electrical circuits and systems, and completing documentation to ensure feasibility and verifiability of performance.Job Title: Electrical EngineerLocation: Alameda , CAPay Range: 40$- 53$As a Senior Engineer in the Alternate Components Qualification team, you will work independently and in a lead role to evaluate and qualify alternate electronic and mechanical components for our medical products. You will be responsible for exercising independent judgment in the review of technical specification sheets and creating change impact documentation with a comprehensive technical assessment to support these changes. This role is critical in ensuring the reliability and safety of our medical devices by working closely with cross-functional teams and adhering to regulatory standards.Key Responsibilities:
Review technical specification sheets based on recommendations and qualify alternate electronic and mechanical components.
Coordinate and lead the utilization of internal and external resources to achieve project goals.
Understand the business needs of the company and have a thorough understanding of customer and clinical needs as they relate to projects.
Lead and/or participate in cross-functional teams to support organizational goals.
Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) or independent technical expert (ITE) on a project's technical matters, including interfacing with senior management and external organizations.
Responsible for timely completion of documentation in accordance with business standards.
Ensure compliance with applicable Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and regulations.
Adhere to applicable Corporate and divisional policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and perform duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in an Engineering Discipline (Electrical or Mechanical preferred), or equivalent relevant experience, along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Some experience in engineering management or technical leadership is desirable.
Strong knowledge of general engineering principles.
Familiarity with cGMP, FDA, and ISO 13485 regulated environments.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Extensive understanding of processes used in the design and manufacturing of medical devices, particularly handheld devices.
