Electrical Estimator

Myers Electric Company is seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Estimator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical construction estimating, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate and competitive electrical cost estimates for commercial and residential projects

Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to determine the scope of work

Conduct material take-offs and labor pricing using industry standards

Communicate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain pricing and clarify project requirements

Assist in bidding proposals and project budgeting

Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams throughout the bidding and construction process

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of electrical codes, industry trends, and market pricing

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of electrical estimating experience required

Proven experience with commercial or industrial electrical projects preferred

Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and construction practices

Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Accubid, Bluebeam, or similar)

Excellent mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Strong communication and organizational skills

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
