Title: Embedded Software Engineer for API/Application Development (Mid-Level)

Location: Livermore, CA

– Hybrid Schedule of 2-3-days on-site

Length of Contract: 1-2 years

Process: 1-Round: (1-hour) – Microsoft Teams Video Interview (Video On)

Responsibilities:

Create command and message parsers in accordance with the device’s API.
Convert 3rd party device API into company’s API
Create a necessary communication layer that make a 3rd party device to talk to company’s software
Perform testing of implemented changes
Develop Proprietary API from scratch with a C programming background
API Transition
There’s 400 pages of documents that describe the interface they’re trying to create from scratch and need someone convert the documents to code whether it be C or any other languages the candidate preferences other than C (The candidate would need pitch why another language would be better if they don’t prefer C).

Requirements:

BS/MS Degree in Electronics or Computer Science
2 years’ experience with embedded platform design and development (mid-level only. The work can be tedious, uncomplicated, therefore, not looking for Senior-level Profiles)
2+ years’ experience C, GNU toolchain, GDB, TCP/IP stack, Linux application development projects that interface/communicate with hardware/devices.

Desired Skills/Plus:

Technically broad and awareness of embedded software engineering: Scripting, Debugging with a good understanding of technical skills.
