Engineering Intern

POSITION SUMMARY:  Support engineering team in reviewing product specifications, processes, system updates and overall department support.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  The duties and responsibilities regularly performed for this position are:Assists in creation and improvement of manufacturing processes utilizing engineering input, engineering drawings, process mapping, and machine capabilities.Assists in development and refinement of work instructions, work scopes, routers, and BOMsWorks with cost accounting to define cycle & takt times to generate standard hour measurements on the shop floorAssist in data collection, scrubbing, and refinement of capacity studiesCollects data and maintains metrics using Microsoft Office suiteMaintains safe and orderly work areas, understands and is compliant with organization’s policies and procedures
