This highly skilled, independent, and determined individual will encounter project critical issues daily with creative solutions every day. This position requires collaborating closely with software, mechanical, and electrical design engineers with the goal of delivering top quality test systems when and where it is needed.

The right candidate will apply first principles thinking, lead through influence, adhere to organizational processes, and balance competing company/team priorities. You must be a relentless communicator (written and verbal) to clearly state the next steps needed to keep actions on track, ensure engineering builds have the needed materials, purchase orders are tracked, and invoices are dispositioned in a timely manner.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prototype high-power, high-speed electro-mechanical test apparatus
  • Procurement and part management of mechanical/electrical parts and supplies for related projects
  • Acquire, maintain, and secure tools and calibrated devices relevant to current projects
  • Update Bill of Materials for prototype systems and communicate updates to the wider team
  • Documentation assembly procedures for prototype mechanical/electrical assemblies when required
  • Wire harness fabrication and documentation

Requirements (candidates are not expected to meet all requirements to apply):

  • Experience working with high-voltage and high-speed rotating systems
  • Background in a motorsports or industrial environment with experience specific to troubleshooting equipment with multiple subsystems
  • Machine shop / part fabrication experience or in-depth knowledge of available processes.
  • Must be able to find solutions to problems by utilizing all available viable options.
  • Ability to create electrical diagrams
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills
  • Strong personal organization skills
  • Demonstrated record of success working in a high pressure, tight deadline situation
