Environmental Health & Safety Technician

Outstanding Biotechnology company seeks EH&S Safety Technician to join phenomenal team. The areas of expertise desired for this role include risk management and environmental and regulatory compliance.

REQUIREMENTS:

Must have discretion, confidentiality, and operate with high ethics and integrity.

Able to build positive relationships and work collaboratively with others.

Effective interpersonal, communication (oral and written), and organizational skills with internal and external customers.

Ability to work independently on assigned tasks, as well as to accept direction on given assignments.

Ability to plan and prioritize, meet deliverables and targeted deadlines.

Be able to perform job hazard analysis, (JHA) and the ability to teach the skill to others.

Understand and implement State and local regulation from a variety of agency.

Basic understanding of handling and shipping hazardous waste.

Basic computer skills and knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).

A degree in ES&S or working towards or willing to work on obtaining a degree or certificate in Environment Health & Safety Professional Certificate or equivalent in a related field and a minimum of 0 to 2 years’ experience.

Hazwoper and DOT certifications, preferred
