Description Job Overview: The ERP Consultant is responsible for managing the implementation and support of ERP systems within client organizations. This role involves analyzing business processes, identifying system requirements, configuring ERP software, and providing ongoing support to ensure that the system meets the organization’s needs. The ERP Consultant works closely with clients to understand their business requirements, offering expert advice on how to best utilize ERP solutions to improve efficiency and productivity. Key Responsibilities: Requirement Gathering: Work with clients to understand their business processes, challenges, and goals to determine the necessary ERP system configurations. System Design and Configuration: Customize and configure ERP modules to align with the client’s business requirements. Implementation: Manage the end-to-end implementation process, including project planning, resource allocation, timeline management, and risk mitigation. Data Migration: Oversee the migration of data from legacy systems to the new ERP system, ensuring data accuracy and integrity. Testing: Develop and execute test plans to ensure that the ERP system meets the specified requirements and functions correctly. Training and Support: Provide training to end-users and deliver ongoing support to help them maximize the benefits of the ERP system. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest ERP trends and updates to recommend enhancements that can improve system functionality and business processes. Documentation: Prepare comprehensive documentation for the ERP system, including user guides, technical specifications, and process flows. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction with the ERP system and services provided. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to the ERP system, providing timely and effective solutions. Requirements Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) are preferred. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in ERP implementation, customization, and support. Experience with specific ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) is often required. Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP software and related technologies. Strong understanding of business processes across various industries. Knowledge of database management, SQL, and reporting tools. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex business processes and translate them into effective ERP solutions. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders. Project Management: Experience in managing projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring of ERP implementations. Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues. Working Conditions: Location: On-site or remote, depending on the client’s requirements. May require travel to client sites. Work Hours: permanent position with possible overtime during project deadlines or system go-live phases.
