Experienced Legal Collector

Law Firm in the San Fernando Valley is looking for a full-time experienced Collector to grow with our firm. We represent individuals and corporations who are owed money and help them recover it. We have a casual and friendly work environment. Flexible work schedule. Hourly plus commission

Candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and be able to meet tight deadlines.

Essential Job Functions:

Call customers regarding their consumer credit/student loan accounts to create payment solutions that are appropriate for their unique financial situations.

Use critical thinking and problem solving skills to overcome obstacles to successfully solidify payment commitments.

Create superior "customer" experiences on every call.

Effectively utilize multiple skip tracing tools and resources to locate the Right Party Contact (consumer) associated with the account.

Adhere to quality standards and ensure compliance with the applicable laws and regulations that govern third party collections (i.e. FDCPA).

Results oriented, meet or exceed monthly performance goals.

Ability to close and solidify payment arrangements within the firm's parameters.

Regular and predictable attendance.

Skip tracer – be able to handle a huge work load of accounts that need to be skip traced to locate employment, bank information and or property (assets).

Experienced in working pre-suit, pre-judgment, and post judgment accounts.

Experience in working accounts in litigation.

Excellent negotiations skills.

Qualifications:

High School diploma/GED.

Stellar interpersonal and relationship building skills.

Superior problem solving and negotiating skills.

Ability to maintain composure during difficult calls.

Results oriented with a demonstrated sense of urgency and curiosity.

Bilingual English/Spanish (a plus).
