Experienced Marine Mechanic

JOB DESCRIPTION

Busy marine service center is seeking candidates to interview for an experienced marine boat mechanic position in Bella Vista, CA.

JOB TYPE

Full time. Permanent Position. Monday - Friday (8am-5pm)

MARINE MECHANIC REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 5 years of experience as a marine mechanic in a professional shop setting (must be shown on resume)

Must know brake repairs, diagnose and repairs engines, electronic installations.

Candidates must be able to conduct themselves in a professional manner.

Knowledge of forklift operation (will train if needed).

Must be able to pass random drug testing.

Valid driver license required.

MARINE MECHANIC COMPENSATION

Starting at $25-$35 hour (depending on certifications and experience)

90 day probationary period. (After probationary period benefits start and wages are re-evaluated.)

MARINE MECHANIC DUTIES

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following…

Diagnose and repair marine vessels, inboard, and outboard motors

Water testing vessels and repairs on service calls when needed

Ability to safely operate a variety of tools and equipment

Conduct work in a timely manner

Responsible for maintaining shop’s standards and safety standards

Effective verbal and listening communication skills

Literacy skills including the ability to read manuals

Decision making and problem solving skills

Help team members when needed

Greet customers, field customer needs and concerns

Maintain a clean work station and area

All other duties as assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Expected hours: 40 per week
