Shift: Monday - Friday between the hours of 7:00 am and 5:30 pm. 8 hour shifts. Ideal candidate will have a flexible schedule to accomodate travel when/where work is being scheduled.

Will include travel to all sites in the Northern California Region as needed. This will include all Sacramento, Bay Area and Northern Nevada.

PRIMARY PURPOSE: Under direct supervision, this position is responsible for the maintenance, repair and installation of the building structures and equipment to keep the organization's plants mechanically, physically and cosmetically sound to ensure a safe and efficient workplace.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs all assigned duties in compliance with internal SOPs and external regulations. Brings compliance issues to the attention of management.

Assures quality customer service to all customers.

Maintains good attendance and punctuality per the absence policy.

Performs inspection and maintenance duties at assigned locations to ensure safe operations and minimize production downtime.

Advises Facility Operations Regional Manager of all needed major building and equipment repairs, so that repairs can be assigned to appropriate individual/contractor.

Assists with transportation of various equipment, furniture and supplies, as needed.

Performs role of backup to Facility Operations Regional Manager and so will be required to be familiar with the following systems: departmental processes and procedures, WO management, intrusion alarm, card access, fire/life/safety monitoring, building automation, MEPs, preferred vendors, etc.

Locates and coordinates works with external contractors and vendors under the supervision of the Facility Operations Regional Manager or in the absence of the Manager.

Assists the Enterprise Facilities Team and EH&S in ensuring staff compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practice regulations, OSHA requirements and departmental policies.

Maintains complete and accurate documentation of services completed and outsourced to contractors.

Completes work orders as requested on all physical locations and assists other maintenance staff on issues pertaining to carpentry, plumbing, drywall, ceilings, flooring, concrete work, painting and cleaning.

REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge/EducationHigh School diploma or equivalent is required.

Licenses/CertificationsLicensed Tradesman is preferred.

ExperienceThree years of experience required.

Skills/AbilitiesMust possess the skills and abilities to successfully perform all assigned duties and responsibilities. Must be able to maintain confidentiality. Able to make sound decisions on repairs.Able to work independently.Must be self-motivated.
