Location/Division Specific InformationEnvironmental and Process Monitoring, a part of Thermo Fisher Scientific, provides integrated solutions, instrumentation, and services to our customers. As a Field Service Engineer III, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of field service support and customer relationship management. The successful candidate will provide complete services on Mass Spectrometry systems, including installation, repairs, preventative maintenance, and instrument qualifications. This is a remote Franklin, MA position can be located near an international airport anywhere in the US.How you will make an impact:Our ideal candidate will be customer oriented, an advocate for Thermo Fisher Scientific in customer laboratories, and be eager to drive growth in biopharma and semiconductor sectors. This position will deliver and build service excellence above and beyond our customers’ expectations.What you will do:Assess and resolve hardware and software malfunctions by means of diagnostic skills, tools, and customer guidance

Complete installations, repairs, data analysis and calibrations, preventative maintenance, and training services.

Educate and train customers on product theory of operation, maintenance procedures, customer interface, and calibration.

Submit service reports and documentation to meet internal and external specifications.

Build strong customer relationships and promote excellent customer experiences to build/maintain customer allegiance.

Travel to customer locations for service, determining most appropriate means and maintaining accurate time and mileage records.

Maintain parts inventory, personal library of instrument manuals, company-assigned laptop, phone, car and tools

Strive for continuous improvement through our Practical Process Improvement Business System

How you will get here:EducationBachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Instrumentation certifications or related Sciences field preferred

High School Diploma Required

ExperienceFive + years of work experience with Process Mass Spectrometry preferred

Knowledge of industrial processes i.e., Biopharma, Semiconductors, oil refineries, chemical plants, pilot plants, cement plants, or power plants.

Prior experience using and/or servicing Mass Spectrometers

Knowledge, Skills, AbilitiesOutstanding Troubleshooting, problem solving and analytical kills

Excellent Interpersonal skills and rapport building both verbally and in writing.

PC literacy including MS Office, Outlook, Salesforce, and Concur. (Gasworks experience a plus)

Ability to travel (both domestic and internationally) up to 75%

Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
