Fire Watch/Shipyard Laborer

Description:

Identifies and removes potential fire hazards in hot work area.

Assists with moving materials, welding equipment and cleans up when necessary.

Remains alert for extended periods of time.

In the event of fire, follows proper fire extinguishing procedure to extinguish and prevent spreading of fire.

Stops operations if any other hazardous conditions arise.

Communicates effectively with co-workers and management alike.

Other duties as may be assigned.
