Follows clearly defined department policies and recipes to accurately prepare and serve snacks and meals to patients and visitors. Supports the functionality of the department by assisting in a variety of areas including tray line, cafeteria, dish room, host/hostess, or catering. Gains confidence and cooperation from peers and supervisors through effective communication and competent job performance. Serves and replenishes foods in the cafeteria, tray line or catering areas, as needed.Maintains sanitation standards in the kitchen and cafeteria by completing consistent clean-up of any and all tools and work areas.May perform grill duties, as needed.Ensures that routine and priority tasks are completed within established departmental time frames.CLERICAL Performs general clerical tasks, such as answering phones; updating patient appointments; and other job related documentation.SAFETY Maintains a clean, neat, and safe working environment, including cleaning and disinfecting equipment after each use. Inspects equipment accordingly for proper sanitation, reporting any insufficiencies to the supervisor.COMPLIANCE Maintains strictest confidence of all patient protected health information (PHI) and protects all PHI from accidental, intentional, or inappropriate disclosure. Performs job duties in compliance with department standards, policies, and procedures, as well as local, state and federal regulatory agencies to deliver the highest level of patient privacy and care.
