Become a Lifesaver: Foster a Dog with Ace of Hearts Dog Rescue!
Did you know? For every dog you foster, you're not just saving one life—you’re creating space for another dog in need to be rescued. Fostering gives dogs the time, care, and love they need until they find their forever homes, and you can be that lifeline!
At Ace of Hearts Dog Rescue, we focus on dogs in high-kill shelters that are most at risk. We are a 100% foster-based organization and rely on compassionate individuals like you to open your homes and hearts. If you love dogs and want to make a direct impact, we need you!
About Us
Ace of Hearts Dog Rescue is a Los Angeles-based non-profit that’s dedicated to saving lives and giving these deserving dogs a fresh start. But we can’t do it alone—we need fosters to provide temporary homes while we find their forever families.
URGENT: Bruno Needs a Foster Home by October 3rd!
Bruno, a senior American Bully mix, desperately needs a new foster home. He was previously adopted through Ace of Hearts, but due to personal changes, his owner can no longer keep him. This sweet boy is great with people and is looking for a calm, quiet environment where he can relax. Unfortunately, due to his past abuse, he doesn’t do well with other dogs and prefers a home without children—kids tend to stress him out. But Bruno is an absolute gem with adults! He’s mellow, housetrained, and would love nothing more than to rest peacefully by your side.
We URGENTLY need to find a foster home for Bruno by October 3rd! Can you be his hero?
What We Need from You:
- Age Requirement: 21+ (or parental approval if under 21).
- Commitment: Foster until adoption, or at least 2-4 weeks. Short-term emergency fosters are also needed!
- Transportation: Reliable transport for vet appointments and mandatory adoption events (every other Saturday at Petco in West Hollywood).
- Experience: Comfort with large breeds and previous dog experience is essential.
- Home Environment: No children under 10, no small dogs or cats. Other large dogs are fine.
- Landlord/Spouse Approval: Please ensure you have approval before applying.
- Immediate Availability: We’re looking for fosters who can start as soon as possible.
Why Foster?
When you foster, you’re not just giving a dog a home—you’re giving them a second chance at life. You’ll be helping to rehabilitate dogs like Bruno, who just want to feel safe and loved again. Our fosters are true heroes, and we couldn’t do this without you!
