Fuel Mitigation Specialist

Under direction of the Fire Marshal, supervised by the Fuel Mitigation Engineer, the Fuel Mitigation Specialist

provides services to the communities of the Town of Woodside, Town of Portola Valley, and the unincorporated

areas with Woodside Fire Protection District. This position will perform a variety of fuel reduction projects and

chipping services.

This position is responsible for daily maintenance and operations of a variety of power tools including but not limited

to chippers and chainsaws. The (FMS) will create fire breaks and shaded fuel breaks.

This is a full-time position Monday through Friday, with employer-paid Kaiser medical benefits for the employee.

All candidates that are given a conditional offer of employment are required to successfully pass a pre-employment

background check with an agency designated by Woodside Fire Protection District.
