Full Charge Bookkeeper

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Full Charge Bookkeeper in Oakland, California. In this role, you will handle a variety of financial tasks, including processing payroll, managing accounts receivable, and assisting with month-end close procedures. You will also be responsible for preparing quarterly reports and collaborating with the CPA for tax purposes. Your work will play a crucial role in maintaining our financial transparency and efficiency.Responsibilities: Oversee the weekly processing of payroll for employees using Paychex, verifying timecards, and inputting data Support month-end close procedures by adjusting journal entries as needed, reviewing weekly sales and office reports, and reporting hours to the trust fund Handle accounts receivable functions such as counting cash and recording transactions in Excel Prepare quarterly reports for sales tax and monitor cash flow Collaborate with the CPA for tax purposes and assist in audits with the union and insurance company Assist with refunds as required by the cashier Use Microsoft Excel and other accounting software systems to maintain accurate records and perform accounting functions Participate in various business-related tasks as needed to support overall company operations Contribute to annual budget planning and perform cash flow analysis.
