Description A Full Charge Bookkeeper is responsible for managing all the financial records of a company. This role spans from processing payroll to production of financial statements. The duties of a Full Charge Bookkeeper often include:

Maintaining all financial records including purchases, sales, receipts and payments.

Managing payroll of employees and distributing paychecks.

Reconciliation of accounts to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.

Producing financial statements such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

Preparing and filing state and federal tax returns and ensuring that payments are made in a timely manner.

Overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable.

Checking entries for accuracy and making corrections as needed.

Performing an audit of financial transactions and reports.

Implementing a system of policies and procedures relating to financial management, budget, and accounting.

Assessing needs for procurement services and approving purchases of goods and services.

Requirements

A Full Charge Bookkeeper should have strong mathematical and computer skills. They need excellent attention to detail, thorough knowledge of accounting procedures, and understanding of relevant laws and regulations. A relevant degree such as in accounting or finance, and experience with bookkeeping and accounting tasks are usually required.
