The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco has a fantastic opportunity for a Software Developer to join our Application Services Group. The ASG team develops custom applications for the San Francisco FRB to use across various business lines with local and national scope. In the role of Software Developer you will design, develop, and implement high quality technology solutions. You will work closely with business users to understand business needs and requirements to implement custom software solutions.

Location: San Francisco, CA or REMOTE

Desired Technology Skills:
  • React or Angular
  • HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
  • Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server
  • RESTful Web Services
  • Nice to have: C#, Azure or AWS

Responsibilities:
  • Ability to work on different layers of the application stack including front-end, middle-tier, and backend
  • You will design and implement new applications, features, and components
  • Collaborate with clients, business analysts and project managers to implement the best solution for customer needs
  • Remediate defects, implement enhancements, and work with customers to resolve issues
  • Team player that helps others and puts the team first
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degreein Computer Science, Information Systems or similar technical discipline or equivalent work experience; Master's degree preferred.
  • 3+ Years experience with JavaScript UI frameworks such as React or Angular
  • 3+ Years experience with Relational Databases such as SQL Server
  • Able to work independently gathering requirement and converting to applications
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of design patterns and frameworks
  • Familiar with software security principals and defensive coding best practices
  • Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs.
  • Experience translating design mockups and prototypes into working application designs. Demonstrated passion for user experience design and improving usability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as demonstrated by a walkthrough of technical deliverables you have produced
  • Must be U.S. Citizenor a Green Card holder with the intent to become a U.S. Citizen

Azure DevOps, Dynamics, Power BI, SSRS Reports, Tableau
