OVERVIEW:Our client, a US Fortune 1,000 company and a major process services provider to Government Health and Human services agencies, seeks an accomplished

Graphics Designer.

IMPORTANT:
  • Must reside within commutable distance (35 miles)- Rancho Cordova, CA 95670 OR Folsom, CA 95630 (Temporarily Remote, eventually will report to the office)

    Yes, Adobe InDesign – Creative Cloud

Regular shift/schedule:
  • Hours will be 8am-5pm (Pacific Time), (Monday -Friday).

  • Equipment will be provided.
  • Candidate MUST have high-speed wired internet connection. Wi-Fi / Wireless connections are not allowed.

Job Title: Graphic Designer

DURATION: 6 Months Temp-to-Hire

Location: Rancho Cordova, CA 95670 OR Folsom, CA 95630 (Temporarily Remote, eventually will report to the office)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Works closely with staff to coordinate material development projects.
  • Applies commonly accepted reading level scoring mechanisms such as Gunning-Fog or the Flesch readability index.
  • Prepares materials for the visually or hearing impaired.
  • Research, plan, and implements new operating and production methods.
  • Serves as liaison with printers, contractors, and suppliers on media projects and the procurement of materials and supplies.
  • Conducts and participates in the planning, development, and production of graphics materials to ensure communication needs.
  • Develops and presents mockups of graphic designs to management for final approval.
  • Ensures all reports are provided in a timely manner in accordance with contractual and management requirements.
  • Prepares accurate reports as requested by the Communication Manager, Project Director, and the client.
  • Maintains updated knowledge of contract compliance provisions for the project and department and meets requirements of the job description.
  • Follows policies and procedures without deviation.
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned by management

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in graphic design, fine arts, or closely related field.
  • 3-5 years of progressive work experience conceiving and executing graphic design projects primarily designing, laying out, illustration, and producing communication materials using Mac and Windows platform Adobe InDesign Illustrator, Photoshop and producing communication materials.
  • Strong skills in the operation of graphic design equipment and in the use of graphic design software packages.
  • Proficient in the use of both Mac and Windows platforms and in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), proficient at MS Project, Outlook, Adobe InDesign, Quark XPress, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and professional version of Acrobat.
  • Understands ADA compliance and PDF remediation techniques.
  • Ability to utilize traditional graphics production methods, techniques, and equipment.
  • Understands design principles and printing processes.
  • Ability to quickly learn new software programs.
  • Ability to meet deadlines within budgetary constraints and to efficiently and accurately produce a broad range of materials, most prominently graphic designs and communication materials.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment.
  • Ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work as a team member as well as independently.
