Guidewire PolicyCenter Developer Technical Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer/Information Science or Information Systems Management or equivalent
  • Minimum 8-10 years of IT hands-on application development experience
  • Minimum 4 years of IT hands-on development experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter 8.0 or higher
  • Proven experience with Configuration and Integration experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter 8.0 or higher
  • Minimum 4 years of hand on experience with SQL (SQL server/Oracle/DB2)/No SQL related technologies
  • Minimum 2 years of experience integrating with RESTful /SOAP Web services
  • Knowledge of working with UI Frameworks (like Angular) is a plus
  • Knowledge of working with monitoring tools like AppDynamics
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented design best practices
  • Knowledge of researching and preparing detailed functional specifications
  • Good knowledge of estimating, planning and tracking development tasks
  • Experience with debugging production issues and resolving them
  • Experience with identifying application performance bottlenecks and resolving them
  • In depth hands-on experience with continuous integration practices, processes and tools (Jenkins, JUNIT, GitLab)
  • Proficient in writing configurable, maintainable and testable code in a highly collaborative environment
  • Property & Casualty domain knowledge is a plus

There may be some rate flexibility for a Sr./Strong candidate Background Check :Yes Drug Screen :Yes Notes :Role: Guidewire PolicyCenter Developer Location: Remote Contract: 6+ months Reason for the opening: Additional support. Project details: What is the project? Policy Center application. Familiar with configuration and implementation min 3-5 years in policy center configuration and integration. What does success look like at the end of this project? Multiple different things. Ongoing enhancements they do every year. Ongoing project that is not going to end, they do this every year. What is the team culture? How many people are on this team? They have team across multiple locations and some offshore some onsite. This person should be able to coordinate with onshore and offshore team members. This person will be working with 8-10 dev people and 2-3 onsite people and some offshore. What the role entails: They have to do developer configuration and integration while working with business people, working with BA's to understand requirements, come up with design, work with architect team, hand it over to QA, etc. Doing process improvements, etc. Must have skills and technologies: Policy Center integration and configuration experience. SQL experience needed. Linux experience is a must. Jenkins and any automation tools are a big plus. JIRA experience. Interview Process/Timelines: What is the interview process and who is involved? 1st round video call with Selva and a few other team members. 1 and done interview. When do you want this person to start? ASAP so November 29th. He understands that means interviews must take place next week. Interview will be 45-60 minutes.
