Position: Help Desk Specialist, Tier 1Type: Contract with possibility to convertLocation: Sunnyvale, CA; on-site (not remote)
DESCRIPTION: You will be responsible for providing Tier1 Help Desk support to 500 employees location across the US with offshore operations. 75% of endpoints are Macs and 25% are Windows.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- First point of contact for service requests initiated by Slack or automated ticketing system.
- Performs troubleshooting support for desktops & laptops, software.
- Experience with JumpCloud or equivalent tool (Jamf).
- Assist with new hire onboarding: configuring laptops, creating accounts and passwords.
- Collect laptops and peripherals from employees as they offboard.
- Documents incidents and resolutions and escalating issues when necessary.
- Support videoconference room configurations (Zoom)
- Provide support for basic networking issues
- Provide training as needed to users as needed.
- CS degree (or equivalent) or commensurate experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience with diagnosing, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
- An understanding of computer and network systems technology including basic networking
- Experienced with macOS 11 and 12.
- Experienced with Windows 10.
- Expertise using and supporting Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with Zoom videoconferencing.
- Experience with enterprise ticketing systems.
- Requires excellent communications skills both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate technical training and support to non-technical users.
- Demonstrated ability to manage priorities effectively and respond with appropriate level of urgency.
