Hiring qualified motorcycle mechanic

Seeking to hire an experienced motorcycle mechanic. No stress environment, Monday-Friday 8 hours (9-5, 8-4) whatever works best for you. No weekends, or holidays. You should have a general background of how to do most services on a motorcycle, but will teach you things you don’t know.

Pay is $25-40hr depending on knowledge and skill. All tools provided in shop.

Will be working on all 1990 and later Japanese brands, KTM, Harley, dirtbikes, street bikes, cruisers, and scooters. we don’t work on Italian or German bikes much other than oil changes and simple services.

There are 3 basic requirements I expect and if you can’t meet them, then we won’t be a good fit.

Come to work everyday, and not call out. I book jobs based on 2 mechanics in the shop, myself and you. And if you don’t show up, people will not get their bikes fixed, which makes us look bad.

If you want days off you can take as many as you want, I just need to know ahead of time.

Pay attention to detail, and don’t make careless mistakes. Remember, people rely on us to provide a service on their 2-wheel vehicles, these are dangerous to begin with, lets not make them more dangerous.

I will do a drug screening prior to coming on board. Federally marijuana is illegal, that will apply to my shop. So if you recreationally or medically use Marijuana, this won’t be a good fit.

The most common jobs you will be doing is:

-basic maintenance (oil changes, chain adjustments, air filters, spark plugs)

-carb cleaning (most dirt bikes, but street bikes/cruisers also)

-fork seal replacements

-fairings installations/crash repairs

-chain and sprockets installation

-valve adjustments (dirt bikes and street bikes)

-piston replacement on dirt bikes.
