Hospitality Billing Clerk

Description Robert Half is partnered with a hospitality group who is offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Group Billing Clerk in the hotel industry, based in Coronado, California. The Group Billing Clerk will be an integral part of our team, responsible for a variety of tasks related to billing, accounts receivable, and customer service.This is a contract-to-hire position with a hospitality group, on-site in Coronado. The ideal candidate will have billing experience, and an interest in learning accounts payable and accounts receivable. You will provide support to the accounting department. Hospitality experience preferred but not required.Responsibilities: Attend and contribute to pre-convention meetings to ensure smooth billing processes Act as the first point of contact for FSC, answering any questions or disputes presented by credit or billing staff Coordinate billing set-up with FSC before group arrivals and manage invoicing for deposits Monitor and manage collection of overdue deposits and coordinate group commission payments with FSC Handle the posting of charges for third-party vendors as required and process their invoices for payment Ensure that all charges are included in the billing to customers Verify that PM accounts are established 45 days prior to group arrival Act as a liaison for any cash paid outs as required by clients Monitor the direct billing/approval process and manage any "open folio" issues Conduct local bill reviews when requested and complete group & catering workbooks pre and post eventsRequirements Proficiency in accounting software systems Experience with ADP - Financial Services Knowledge of computerized billing procedures Familiarity with EHR System and Epic Software Ability to use About Time for time tracking Understanding of accounting functions Experience in handling Accounts Receivable (AR) Ability to manage answering inbound calls Familiarity with various billing functions.
