Title: House Manager & Family Assistant (w/ Childcare Support)

Location: Goleta, CA 93117

Employment Type: Part-time (15–20 hours/week)

Proposed Start Date: ASAP

Compensation: $30–35/hour based on experience.

Requirements: Maintain a smoke-free environment, pass background check, reliable transportation (family car available for errands/pick-ups), CPR certified preferred.

Proposed Schedule: Monday–Thursday, Approximately 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM. Plus one weekend evening per month and flexibility for occasional overnights.

Who We’re Looking For

This role is for a reliable, thoughtful, and proactive House Manager who can help us manage the behind-the-scenes of our home. From household organization and errands to meal prep and occasional childcare, you’ll be an important support system that notices the little things and helps our family thrive.

What You’ll Do

This role is a mix of household management, organization, and family support. A typical week could include:

Household Management & Organization

-Maintain household organization systems for closets, pantry, toys, seasonal clothing, and storage.

-Keep household spaces tidy, organized, and prepped for cleaning services.

-Coordinate donations, seasonal changes, and travel packing/unpacking

-Oversee family calendar and household schedules.

-Supervise service providers/vendors (cleaners, landscapers, handymen, etc.).

Errands & Inventory Management

-Track and restock groceries, pantry, household supplies, etc.

-Manage household orders (Amazon, Costco, Target, Instacart).

-Run errands: groceries, returns, dry cleaning, mail, packages.

Family Support & Child Assistance

-School and activity pick-ups or drop-offs (family car available or reimbursed mileage).

-Back-up childcare support, including date nights and occasional overnights (1–2x/month).

-Prep backpacks, clothing, and snacks for school/activities.

Meal Planning & Preparation

-Plan and prepare 2–3 simple, healthy dinners per week for the kids.

-Grocery shop for meals and pantry staples.

-Maintain a clean, organized kitchen after meal prep.

Laundry & Linen Care

-Rotate and refresh bedding and towels as needed.

-Keep laundry areas tidy and well-stocked with supplies

Pet Care

-Feed and walk dogs as needed.

-Keep pet supplies stocked and organized,

-Coordinate grooming and vet appointments as needed.

Special Projects & Deep Cleaning

-Tackle occasional deep cleans (fridge, oven, rugs, humidifiers, etc.).

-Organize and refresh specific household zones (garage, toy closet, seasonal décor, etc.).

-Research and coordinate repairs, maintenance, and quotes.
