Housekeeping - Evening Events Attendant
SUMMARY
To provide excellent service in an upscale private club in a fast-paced, team environment. This position is responsible for the cleanliness of the entire upper club event space and bathrooms. This position’s schedule is normally Thursday – Sunday afternoons to evenings from 4:30pm – 1:00am. This is a 4-5 day a week role depending upon business demands.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Clean, detail, and re-stock paper products in all restrooms both during and after events.
2. Monitor Bathroom cleanliness and provide maintenance throughout evening event. Detail and clean after event and prepare for next day.
3. Clean event space post-event, which includes the following duties: trash collecting, dusting, polishing furniture, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, mopping, etc.
4. Clean common areas such as front lobby, dining room, hallways, etc.
5. Additional duties as deemed necessary.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of Housekeeping experience in corporate or hotel environment
Availability to work Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings from 5:00pm to 1:00am as well as possible On-Call basis with schedule flexibility
Ability to read, write and communicate in English
Ability to handle fast paced mobility for long periods of time
Ability to work independently without close supervision
Physical demands and work environment:
Able to stand for long hours, bending, lifting and reaching over.
Ability to use hands, fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
Ability to reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, talk or hear.
Occasionally lift and or move up to 40 lbs.
Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Satisfactory auditory abilities are required.
Environmental Factors
The employee is exposed to working around cleaning equipment and machinery, cleaning chemicals, high temperatures, cold temperatures and above normal noise levels.
Work Hours: This position is an hourly, non-exempt, full-time position with benefits, with schedule mainly Thursday-Sunday 4:30pm – 1:00am when events are booked. This schedule ranges from 4-5 days a week. There will be a high and low season with occasional flexible schedule changes based on work demands.
