Description HR Benefits SpecialistManage all aspects of the Company Fringe benefits offered to employees. Assist employees with inquiries pertaining to benefits and Human Resources policies and procedures.

Provide employees with updates on benefit plans and ensure that current and accurate information is available to employees on the intranet.

Plan, coordinate and execute annual Open Enrollment event and fair. Confirm that all required documentation for benefit changes collected and processed.

Assist employees with completing the benefit enrollment process and enter benefit elections into pertinent systems accurately and in a timely manner.

Process employee status changes that affect benefit eligibility. This includes, but is not limited to: updating benefit information in all pertinent systems and sending documentation regarding change of benefit eligibility.

Collaborate with the Eligibility department and benefit account representatives to ensure that all systems display accurate employee benefit elections.

Process employee address change, Primary Care Physician (PCP) changes, and medical insurance card requests in a timely manner. Update employee name in relevant benefit systems/websites, as needed.

Process qualifying event requests and confirm that all required documentation is received within established timeframes prior to processing the request.

Perform monthly audits of benefit elections and invoices and make any necessary corrections/updates.

Perform yearly audit of per diem employees to evaluate their eligibility for designated benefits as established by the Affordable Care Act (ACA).

Manage current and solicit new discounts/offers for employees. Manage intranet site and insure discounts are current and up to date.

Complete annual 401(k) match report, provide employees with pertinent updates and notifications pertaining to the 401(k) benefit. Provide participant information when requested by corporate office or another authorized entity.

Generate self-billing invoices for designated benefit accounts and send invoice to Finance department for processing. Generate Flexible Spending Account (FSA) premium report and upload to FSA website.

Routinely update COBRA elections and eligibility. Review COBRA premiums and invoices and submit to Finance department for processing.

Present benefit package information during new hire orientation and provide new hires with benefit enrollment documents/information.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, or closely related field, preferred.

Two years of Human Resources experience.

Proficient in use of computers and working technical knowledge of software applications.

Ability to effectively communicate with individuals within all levels of the organization. Ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

Positive interpersonal and communication skills.
