$20hr SEEKING CONST. TRK. DRIVER CA (Class C or B) / CONST. LABOR(S)

Bakersfield Concrete & Const. is Seeking potential Truck Driver with a (Class C or B)/ Const. Labor not only must have at least 3 years of driving experience but also have some hauling experience using a construction utility dump trailer. The driver is responsible for safely and efficiently receiving and delivering construction work materials to and from all construction worksites with a company work truck (vehicle) and utility dump trailer within the area of Kern County.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Operates construction work truck according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.

Transports loads safely with work truck and or utility dump trailer in a timely manner over required route, obeying all traffic laws and observing all safety regulations.

Inspects vehicle and utility dump trailer prior to leaving work sites. Reports all defects to supervisor or manager.

Properly follows OSHA specifications regarding lockout/tag-out procedures.

Reports any defects on Drivers Daily Report Sheet.

Loads and unloads materials properly and securely.

Returns all equipment to designated area.

Conducts self in a safe manner; works cooperatively as a team with logistics helper to prevent bodily injuries and property damages.

Completes daily driver reports (i.e. Driver Report, Trip-Sheet, update vehicle board.)

Reports any traffic violations / accidents to supervisor immediately. Completes written incident report.

Always use the assistance of the logistics helper when backing up or driving through difficult entrances.

Responsible for safe return of vehicle, utility dump trailer, and other equipment at end of daily route

Performs other; construction related duties as assigned ie. labor/masonry work that would lead to successful operation.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Demonstrates reliable attendance.

Able to communicate effectively and courteously with the public and coworkers.

Able to use construction hand tools ie. hammer, measuring tape, saw, shovel, etc.

Wear appropriate protective PPE's ie. high visibility vest, footwear etc.

Able to read map and use Google pin drops.

Visual acuity.

Able to work Monday through Saturday, any hours specified by management.

Able to haul materials using a utility dump trailer.

Physical Requirements:

Must work in all weather conditions.

Must be able to lift/pull/push 50-75 pounds at times.

Ability to bend, lift, squat, stoop.

Ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods of time.

Drug and Alcohol (FREE)

Required Experience:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and or abilities required for the position. Individuals must have a current/valid CA drivers license and a clean driving record.

Minimum of (3) years of driving experience .

Current Department of Motor Vehicle Print-Out.

California good driving ins. rec. (app.)
