Title: Human Factors Engineer/ UX ResearcherDuration:- 12 Months contract on W2Position: OnsiteLocation: San Diego, CARate Range: $50-$60/ hrResponsibilities:Plan and manage research with stake holders which includes surveys, ethnographic field studies, task based usability test sessions, contextual inquiries, expert reviewsProject managementRecruit participantsCreate discussion guide moderate sessions, analyze the data and create reportDesign survey, analyze and create reportPresent report and work with stakeholders to solve the problem Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction with demonstrated experience in an equivalent field min of 3 yearsSkilled experience on PowerPoint, word, excel and VisioPrior experience on Qualtrics or similar survey tool Preferred Skills:Ability to focus on the customer’s needsKnowledge of basic user-centered design principlesKnowledge of UI industry standards for interface design and user testing methodologiesExperience with statistical analysis of user research, survey creationSome prior work done related to accessibilityTechnology savvy and understanding of consumer electronicsSolid UCD back ground in academic (studied HCD and have degree)Experience in similar industry (GAFA, and other high tech company)Experience in HW with embedded SWExperience in user researchQualtrics surveyModerated 1:1 usability testConcept feedback session/contextual inquiryOn line and in person interviews
