IMS DB2 Database Administrator

DatamanUSA has an exciting opportunity for

• Install, implement, test and tune DB2 Database systems.
• Provide Database Administrator (DBA) Support for application developers.
• Disaster Recovery preparedness for DB2 by maintaining and tuning backup and recovery processes.
• Provide support for IBM DB2 Analytics Accelerator and Data Virtualization Manager.
• Work with other DBAs and systems programmers in support of DBA software such as DB2, QMF,
• IMS, IMS TS, Shadow direct and other database-related products.

• DB2 DBA to support DB2 v12 environment on zOS
• High-volume DB2 Database and Stored Procedures running several mission-critical applications.
• Knowledge of development lifecycle, copy books, link/bind/compile process.
• Knowledge of DB2 system administration using DB2 native tools, DB2 admin and DB2 log analysis.
• In-depth experience performing DB2 for zOS backup and restore, database reorg, buffer pools, and performance tuning.
• Experience supporting DB2 connect server for zOS

• Sysview for DB2, ESP, Endeavor, or OpsMVS from Broadcom
• File Manager
• Shadow from Rocket Software
• IBM Tivoli Decision Support
• IBM IMS v15 and IMS Transaction Server
• BM DB2 admin and DB2 log analysis

• Minimum of 5 years as DB2 (or IMS) Database Administrator.
• Thirty (30) semester (45 quarter) units of completed, post-high-school coursework from an accredited university or technical school in Computer Information Systems, Business/Public Administration, or a closely related field.
