About the Position:

We are seeking a reliable, friendly, and enthusiastic tutor to provide in-home academic support to our two children, a 5th grader and a 6th grader. The ideal candidate is a high school or college student with strong academic skills and a passion for working with younger students.

Subjects Covered:

- General homework assistance

- Math

- Reading Comprehension

- Writing and grammar skills

- Study and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

- Currently enrolled in high school or college, maintaining good academic standing

- Excellent communication skills and patience

- Reliable transportation

- Previous tutoring, mentoring, or child care experience preferred (but not required)

Schedule:

- Flexible schedule, approximately 4–6 hours per week

- Weekday afternoons/evenings preferred, exact days and times negotiable

Responsibilities:

- Provide engaging, personalized academic support tailored to each child’s learning style

- Help students develop effective study habits and organizational skills

- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress
