In a time of unprecedented expansion, we are seeking an In-House Lab Manager to join our Research, Design & Development team. In this role, you will lead Lakeshore’s In-House Test Lab. You will lead a team of lab technicians and a support team to ensure accurate test execution while collaborating with the Quality Engineering team regarding test methods. In addition, you will partner with peers in RD&D to provide input on quality process enhancements and evolutions. This role requires strong team leadership, communication and collaboration skills with a focus on executing quality testing and ensuring the IHL capabilities and capacity meet the needs of the business. And we’re here to help you succeed—in 2022 Lakeshore earned its Great Place to Work® Certification™ and is proud to put its associates first.A day in the office looks like this: Leading, coaching and developing the In-House Lab team Managing and leading all in-house testing capabilities Effectively creating and executing a safe test lab environment Ensuring safety and regulatory test methods align with appropriate test standards In partnership with Quality Engineering, reviewing product test plans to ensure test/acceptance criteria are executable by the In-House Lab team Managing, developing and creating meaningful KPIs to improve the performance of the team Aligning test methods to standardized methods (ASTM, BIFMA, etc.) Communicating complex testing requirements and test methods to a broad and diverse audience Managing formal test setup, fixturing and testing automation Analyzing test results to summarize product performance against testing requirements   Creating and maintaining a library of test methods/protocols to ensure consistency and repeatability of all in-house testing Coaching and training RD&D on appropriate testing standards to enable alignment of product design and product performance expectations Collaborating with the Engineering and Quality Engineering teams to develop meaningful and relevant tests to meet product expectations Collaborating with the Product Integrity and Compliance teams
