In Room Dining Order Taker

The Fairmont is looking for a seasonal In Room Dining Order Taker for our Holiday season between November and January, who is passionate about service and guest experience! As Order Taker, you will take pride in the integral role you play in supporting your In Room Dining Colleagues and setting the stage for a truly memorable experience.What you will be doing:Reporting to the Food and Beverage Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging serviceAssist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful wayMaintain  proper telephone etiquette at all timesHave full knowledge of beverage listsRecord guest orders accurately and efficiently while honoring all special requestsFollow outlet policies, procedures and service standardsHave full knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methodsFollow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverageOther duties as assignedYour skills and experience include: Previous service experience an assetPrevious Point of Sale System experience preferredExcellent communication and organizational skillsStrong interpersonal and problem solving abilitiesHighly responsible & reliableAbility to work well under pressure in a fast paced environmentAbility to work cohesively as part of a teamAbility to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to): Constant standing and walking throughout shiftLift and carry items up to 50lbs i.e. linen and delivery traysUse hands and fingers skillfully and easilyCarry out specific oral or written instructions, frequently following a simple routineVisa Requirements:

Must have proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
