The Infrastructure Technical Lead will be responsible for assessing the As Is, the To Be, and the Gaps associated with current infrastructures at client sites. The Infrastructure Technical Lead will also be responsible for defining a roadmap for change and may participate in the initiatives outlined in the roadmap. - Create As Is infrastructure diagrams including, but not limited to, access points, networks, middleware, load balancers, data storage, servers, security, and other infrastructure components
- Create To Be infrastructure models based on best practices and emergent technologies
- Outline the gaps between the As Is and To Be
- Develop a roadmap for transitioning to the To Be infrastructure
- Provide supporting evidence for prioritizing roadmap steps
- Identify cost expectations for roadmap steps
- Assess current policies, procedures, and practices for supporting the As Is infrastructure components
- Identify To Be policies, procedures, and practices for supporting infrastructure change
- Identify benefits and risks/issues associated with the As Is infrastructure
- Identify risk/issue mitigations/resolutions by transitioning from the As Is to the To Be infrastructure
- Participate in pilots, proofs of concept, and other means of validating infrastructure changes
- Develop performance measurements for benchmarking the As Is and To Be infrastructures
- Experience with Oracle and Microsoft infrastructure environments, both legacy and web-based
- Experience with on-premise and cloud-based infrastructures
- Experience with assessing infrastructure effectiveness
- Experience with security provisioning across the infrastructure
- Speak and write effectively and prepare effective reports.
- Must have a minimum of five (5) years of infrastructure experience, including Oracle and Microsoft environments
- Must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience assessing infrastructures
- Must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience developing To Be infrastructure models, including on-premise and cloud environments supporting Oracle and Microsoft solutions
- Experience with California state agencies and departments
- Knowledgeable and experience working with Federal and State programs and organizations
