OverviewDignity Health Infusion Services is the only program on the Central Coast to offer comprehensive in-home infusion services. Our pharmacists and team of specially-trained nurses work with your doctor to provide care you need, where you are the most comfortable—at home.What is Infusion Therapy? Home Infusion Therapy involves the administration of medications and nutrition therapy using parenteral and enteral routes. This care is administered to patients in the convenient and comfortable surroundings of comfortable surroundings of their own home and allows them to take a more active role in their own health care. Home Infusion Therapy is not only more cost-effective than inpatient treatment; it eases the stress and anxiety of treatment resulting in better patient outcomes. Available Therapies: Antibiotic Therapy, Antiemetic Therapy, Biotech Therapies (Remicade, Enbrel, Humira etc), Catheter Care and Maintenance, Chemotherapy, Enteral Therapy, Heart Failure Therapies, Hydration, IVIG Therapy, Osteoporosis Therapies, Pain Management, Steroid Therapy & Total Parenteral Nutrition.ResponsibilitiesAbout This PositionIn keeping with the Marian Medical Center philosophy the Infusion Suite RN performs functions that include delivering chemotherapy and therapeutic agents via I.V. administration providing patient education assessment and follow-up anddocumenting in the electronic medical record. Also performs related work as required. This is under the supervision of the Director of Oncology.Selection Criteria

Preferred: OCN Certification

Possess the necessary skills in the administration of chemotherapy drugs

Working knowledge of various venous access devices.

Knowledge of and practices CDC standards regarding exposure to blood

and other body fluids.

Possesses in-depth knowledge of medical disorders associated with cancer and chemotherapy.

Must possess current Registered Nursing License

BLS certificate required
